Unfortunately, in my experience , a significant number of Care Organisations don't use any form of Care Passport to help staff support their most vulnerable or non-verbal clients.
Making a Difference
The purpose of this website is to show how easily and cheaply they can be made and illustrate how beneficial they are. They can be used by many organisations and groups from Residential Care Homes, Educational Establisments and Hospitals to Families and Individuals.
Not a New Idea
Care Passports have been around for many years under a variety of names and formats.
Call Scotland have published a guide on making "Personal Communication Passports" designed primarily for children of school age but the idea can be applied to people of any age.
